Gaurang Films releases ‘Teen Murti'...there is life after retirement too !
 
‘‘Teen Murti’ - which is a comedy based on a honourable life after retirement by senior citizens, has completed its shooting in and around Kolkata and the film was released on 11th December 09 with rave reviews. The film stars Ranjit Mullick, Manoj Mitra, Dipankar Dey, Savitri Devi and Paoli Dam in key role.

The film has story, screenplay and lyrics by Late Shri Tapan Sinha. Around mid 2006, late Shri Sinha started work on this film. Four songs of the film were already recorded by him in October 2006. (http://www.gaurangfilms.com/song.htm)

Shooting of the film was to commence in early November, 2006. However, Shri Sinha fell ill and shooting of the film could not begin. Subsequently, his condition got worse, and, he was confined to hospital and home for many months before his demise in January 2009 recently.

After his demise, a lot of interest is there in this film and Gaurang Films have shortlisted three times National Award winner, Shri Raja Sen to complete this task.
 
Gaurang Films has been making quality films since 1976. We have made four films, viz, ‘Harmonium’, ‘Safed Haathi’, ‘Aaj Ka Robinhood’ and ‘Anokha Moti’, with late Shri Tapan Sinha with whom our association goes back for four decades.
 
 

Tapan Sinha’s next hilarious Bengali comedy film
Tapan Sinha’s new hilarious Bengali comedy film based on the lives of three old retired morning walkers is scheduled to be on floor in early November 06. Four Songs of the film have already been recorded on 12th October, 06.

Bengali film stalwarts - Soumitra Chatterjee, Manoj Mitra, Bharati Devi, Biswajit Chakraborty, Sabitri Chatterjee, Partho Mukhopadhyay and many more will be in the film. The film will be ready by March, 07.

It would be very interesting to see how these three old morning walkers, who are not happy with their dull lives and domestic problems, finally decide to open a Tea shop to find the real definition of life at the fag end of their lives and how their dull lives change into happiness and occupy them with extra earnings.

This film will be with full of fun and joy and is going to be the best entertainment to the families including the senior citizens.
