Our first children book in Odiya called “Saptam Surja” a collaborative effort with IIT Bombay, IIT Bhubaneshwar, SIT, and published by well known Pratham Books is now ready for release.The idea to tie up with Pratham is also so that the book can reach the lowest common denominator schools through its existing network ,multilanganguage publishing and fair pricing.

Children need to be actively engaged as stakeholders in the process of creating content which they will see read and hear.One such workshop was held with 20 children from the underprivileged and privileged background in Bhubaneshwar in December 2010.

It was a laboratory which exposed children to practioners of rich traditional and visual arts like folklorists, dancers, puppeteers, animators,sculptors,painters and teachers.

At the end of this workshop the children selected a folk story “The Seventh Sun” which has been published as a book with their drawings and design ideas.
